What are the Guidelines?

With the acceleration of economic globalization and the increasing activities of multinational enterprises, multinational enterprises broadly impact areas such as company policies of the host counties, labour, environment and consumer protection.

The guidelines are joint recommendations provided to multinational enterprises by the OECD member countries and adhering governments and they provide standards of good practice and can enable the Guidelines to have a positive impact and also simultaneously minimize adverse impact on economy, society and the environment.

The guidelines have received widespread support from enterprises, labour groups and NGOs. They can submit complaints to each country¡¯s NCP for implementation of the guidelines.

The guidelines widely cover business ethics including Labor Relations, Environment, Information Disclosure, Competition, Taxation, Science and Technology, Anti-Corruption and Consumer Protection.
